Chair of the Organizing Committee

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to the Academic College at Wingate in June this year. The 6th International Congress of Exercise and Sport Sciences will focus on diverse current issues in the field of sport, physical exercise and physical education.

Four prominent scholars will join us and give keynote speeches at this year’s conference.  Prof. Ramy Elitzur from University of Toronto, Canada, will lecture on the economy of sport, Prof. Ann MacPhail, from the University of Limerick, Ireland, will lecture on physical education teacher education, Prof. Jörg Schorer, from Oldenburg University, Germany, will discuss big data in sport, and Prof. David Thivel, from the University of Clermont-Auvergne, France, will lecture on physiological and neurocognitive pathways involved in the nutritional adaptation to physical exercise and energy deficits. The congress program will also include various themes and topics related to sport sciences and will comprise parallel sessions, workshops, practical sessions, and poster sessions.

As Covid-19 is still with us, this year's Congress will be online. While we are disappointed that we are unable to host our participants on the Wingate campus, we embrace the opportunity to include a large and wide audience from abroad who would otherwise not be able to physically be at the Congress.

We hope that you will enjoy the conference. If you have any questions or comments, do not hesitate to get in touch with the ICESS Office of the Academic College at Wingate.

Prof. Nili Knopp-Steinberg and Dr. Orly Fox
