Clara Weil is a senior epidemiologist at Maccabitech. Maccabitech and the Kahn-Sagol-Maccabi Research and Innovation Institute are part of Maccabi Healthcare Services, the second largest of four health funds in Israel, representing a quarter of the population with more than 2.4 million members and over 2 decades of longitudinal data. This setting provides a unique opportunity for generating insights from real-world evidence and big data analytics, including through partnerships with industry, academia, government and other key stakeholders in the global health arena. Since joining Maccabitech in 2013, Clara’s research activity has focused primarily on infectious diseases and immunology, generating real-world evidence on burden of disease, pharmacoepidemiology, health economics and outcomes. Clara holds an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a BSc in Immunology from University College London.
