Note: Sessions switch out very quickly, a necessity for this conference of 16 time zones! We will send out a detailed FAQ for accessing and using the online platform, and will give you time to practice on it.

Presentation Timing: Sessions are 90 minutes in length. If your panel has 2-3 speakers/papers allot 20 minutes per presentation. If your panel has 4-5 speakers/papers allot 15 minutes per presentation. If you are on a roundtable, please contact your chair or roundtable organizer to clarify the length and format of your presentation. All sessions allow time for Q&A. The session interactivity is via Zoom, so you can share your screen if presenting a powerpoint or other media.

Information for Session Chairs: Begin the session 5 minutes after the time noted, so that there is time for everyone to enter the space. Please ensure presenters stick to their timeframe and that you are in contact with the moderator during the question period. Please also pay attention to the “hand raised” icon in case someone wishes to ask a question themselves.

Information for Session Tech Moderators: The role of the moderator is to assign co-host privileges to presenters, monitor the chat function, mute microphones or shut off video if necessary, and collect and pass on questions to the chair during the Q&A.

Tech moderators and chairs should arrive 10 minutes before the start of the session where possible (unless presenting in the previous slot).
