We are pleased to invite you to be a part of the 43rd Annual Meeting of the Israel Orthopaedic Association (IOA) 2024. The conference will be held on March 31-April 1, 2024, at the Hilton Hotel, Tel Aviv.

The conference is organized by the Israel Orthopaedic Association (IOA), which aims to develop the profession of orthopaedics both in Israel and abroad, promote orthopedic education and foster professional and personal cooperation among its members.

More than 1,000 participants from Israel and abroad are expected to take part in the conference, including orthopedic doctors from all branches of the profession - spine, sports medicine, hand surgeons, physiotherapists, occupational therapists - as well as nurses from the wards and operating rooms, scientists, researchers and industry, also providing a platform for the presentation of cutting-edge technologies and initiatives in the making.

The scientific program of the conference will include the new and modern aspects in the field of orthopedics and will be attended by international lecturers of impact and influence in the field.

We invite you to join us at this very exciting and comprehensive interdisciplinary conference, share ideas and meet with colleagues. We look forward to seeing you there.

The hotel is located within the Independence Park and has direct access to Hilton Beach and Tel Aviv promenade, with easy access to all sites in Tel Aviv.

Accommodation can also be arranged through the conference at the Hilton Tel Aviv.

Weather in Tel Aviv in March-April:
March is the beginning of spring in Israel, and along with warmer temperatures comes the easing of rain and the blooming of wildflowers. There is still a possibility of cloud and rain. The average temperature in Tel Aviv in March is 16.4°C (61°F), with an average high of 19.2°C (67°F)and an average low of 11.5°C (53°F).

Language:
The official language of the conference is English.

Flights:
Participants should book their flights to Ben Gurion International Airport (airport code: TLV).

Passports and Visas:
Prior to booking your flight ticket, please ensure that your passport is valid for 6 months past your travel date. Participants from some countries require a visa to enter Israel. We suggest that you check this with your travel agent or on the website of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Please note: Upon entry into Israel, your passport will not be stamped - you will instead receive a light blue card called an Electronic Gate Pass. This is an official form of identification while in Israel. Please keep this card at hand at all times as it is proof of your status, and required among other things when you book into the hotel.

Letter of Invitation:
Upon request, the Secretariat will send a personal letter of invitation to participate in the Meeting. It should be understood that such an invitation is only meant to assist participants raise travel funds or obtain a visa and does not represent a commitment on the part of the Organizing Committee.

Dress Code:
Participants are advised to wear business casual for all meeting functions and programs.

Guest Attendance Policy:
All event activities (including educational sessions, meal functions, etc.) are exclusively reserved for registered attendees and registered partners. Non-registered guests are not allowed in any of the event areas. Badges provided at registration are required for entrance into all functions and will be strictly enforced.

Liability and Insurance:
Please do not leave bags or suitcases unattended at any time, whether inside or outside the session halls. Hotels strongly recommend that you use their safety deposit boxes for your valuables.

The Meeting Secretariat and Organizers cannot accept liability for personal accidents or loss of or damage to private property of participants. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.
