The 2022 International Conference on Optical MEMS and Nanophotonics (OMN) will meet online due to the ongoing COVID pandemic, September 12-15. This year, the four-day OMN program will feature Keynote and Invited Speakers, as well as contributed talks presented in live-streamed sessions and virtual poster meetings (all content will be available for offline viewing to registrants). We hope the online meeting format will enable global participation from the scientific community at all levels of professional development and strongly encourage the submission of original contributions for consideration of acceptance. The Paper Submission Period is Now Over. OMN conferences span topics of widespread impact of optics and photonics technology, enabled by the advanced technical abilities to form micro- and nano-scale feature sized structures and moving elements for interacting and manipulating light, both from a theoretical perspective and practical realizations. This includes MEMS materials and metasurfaces, optoelectronic and optomechanic devices, nanophotonics enabled devices from cavities to light enhancement in applications including spectroscopy, biophotonics, optical switching and scanning, quantum information processing, and light-matter interactions. We welcome contributed works in all relevant optics/photonics fields of impact to our basic scientific knowledge, practical and innovative applications, and of key performance attributes. OMN 2022 is technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Photonics Society, thereby all accepted conference papers will be archived and accessible on IEEE Xplore. By special arrangement with IEEE Photonics Technology Letters (PTL), authors will have an opportunity to submit extended versions of their work (up to four pages) to a special issue devoted to OMN, providing an opportunity to include additional technical results, further detailed discussions and insights, expanding beyond the two-page OMN abstracts. All manuscripts submitted to this special issue will go through the standard review process according to PTL’s review guidelines. Details and call for papers (with date information) will be published here soon and via the IEEE PTL website. |
