Invited Speaker Abstract: We report recent progress on nonlinear optics demonstrated in ultra-silicon-rich nitride devices. We leverage the high Kerr nonlinearity and absence of two-photon absorption at telecommunications wavelengths to observe Bragg soliton phenomena, including optical parametric Bragg amplification and low power picosecond pulse generation.
