The Afeka Conference for the Development of National Human Capital in Engineering has been held annually for the past six years. The basis for founding the conference was rooted in the need for cross-system collaboration and dialogue on a national level between Israeli decision-makers from the educational system, higher education system, industry, government, the IDF and other relevant organizations and associations. The goal is to encourage discussions and activities for advancing the education of national human capital in engineering. As a public academic institution for Engineering Education, Afeka made the decision to provide the foundation for promoting this channel of communication.

The 7th annual Afeka Conference will focus on the mutual impact of global environmental and sustainability challenges on Engineering Education and on the corporations employing engineers, as well as the implications these challenges will have, not only on the role of engineers in society, but also on how engineers themselves view this role.

We are happy to announce that this year the conference will be held face-to-face on Afeka’s campus.

There is no fee for attending the conference, however it is open to invited guests and approved registrations only.
